The show of cast cows can be only described as lean and moderate but these met an exceptional trade, dearer on the week and numbers short of buyers requirements.
Leading the sale at 227.5ppk was a Limousin cow from Nilston Rigg Farms, Langley.
Top grossing cow came from R A & B A Ridley & Son Ltd, Dipton Foot Farm who sold a Limousin cross for £1526.13.
Leaner sorts regularly exceeded 190ppk and the sale went on to average 196.6ppk and £1240.40.
OTM steers
37-month-old steers sold to £1425.18 and 261.5ppk from Messrs A J & H Gordon & Son, old Deanham.
