Selling
If you have items you are considering selling please enter using the online form use an entry form and post it to Hexham Mart.
Items are split into three sections.
- Smaller items in the Exhibition Hall, (limited to 800 lots per sale due to space requirements).
- Larger items in the Mart Field.
- Vehicles in the Mart Field at 12 noon.
All sales are advertised in local press, and farming journals, as well as on this website, via social media and our email list
Sales can be viewed and bid on via our online portal.
Commission is on a sliding scale of 10% for the first £100, and 5% thereafter plus VAT per lot.
There is a minimum charge of £3 per lot, whether the item is sold or unsold.
Buying
Our auctions are held on a Saturday, with viewing days prior to each sale, and the lots can also be viewed online.
If you require further information on any lot please get in touch, and we will be happy to provide it.
Bids can be made in person at the auction, via an absentee commission bid, or online through the app.
Purchaser commission is currently 5% plus VAT at 20%, online purchases will attract a further 1% charge plus VAT.
All payments must be made within three days of the sale, and the items removed within the week.
