A very varied show of clean this week with a large entry of over aged feeding types forward. Trade for the butchers cattle remains firm and saw a high of 391.5p/kg for a Charolais cross from Mr FT Walton, Flotterton. Highest grossing beast was a heavy Angus cross heifer, also from Flotterton which sold to £2666.05.

Cast Cows & OTM
Another nice entry of Cast Cows and Bulls were seen on Tuesday 30th September with more numbers forward. A show that lacked the flesh of the previous week but the strong trade that was witnessed the week before was maintained this week.
Leading the sale once and following on from the previous weeks success was A & D Proctor, Swarland Old Hall who sold a stylish Limousin cross cow for 349.5p/kg to Mr O Llyr, Ruthin.
Highest grossing cow came from W Walton & Son, Duns Houses this week, with a very well-fleshed Limousin cross cow realising £2991.50.
Well fleshed cows selling in excess of 310p/kg once again and saw fierce demand. Trade for the leaner feeding sorts again selling regularly between 265-275p/kg and more numbers needed with finishers looking for cows to feed.
