Cast Cows & OTM

More Cast Cows and Bulls this week and a slightly better entry forward. The sale was predominantly made up of feeding sorts that produced a tremendous sale average of £1521.07 and 212.80ppk proving week in, week out Hexham to be leading Cast Cattle in the North East.

Leading the sale was an Angus Stock Bull from Crowhall Farms, Whitshield that went on to gross £2678.50.

Mr J Sisterson, Newlands Haugh brought a grand run of Continental Cows that sold to £2185.50 and £2139.69 for Charolais Cows.

Topping the ppk for the sale was a young cow from Messrs W H Smith & Sons, West Shields with a shapey Saler cross cow selling to 271.5ppk.

With numbers tightening, demand is at an all time high, many good feeding cows cashing in excess of 210ppk.
