Sale topped at 427.5ppk for a Limousin heifer from G W Dodd & Sons, Saugh House, whilst Charolais heifers from F T Walton, Flotterton topped at £2385.02.

A smaller show of cows forward with less flesh about. Trade would be slightly less an on the week, especially for weathered and feeding sorts.
Flesh and frame still selling away to a nice demand in the ring.
Leading the sale at 343.5ppk was a well-covered Limousin cross from F & R Simpson, Square House, whose fantastically well fed run of cows produced top pounds per head also at £3012.50.

Hexham & Northern Marts sold 1436 Prime Lambs to a sharper trade with the lambs 44kg and under meeting extreme demand with an SQQ of 327.5ppk or market average 316ppk.
Topping the sale at £205 was a tremendous Texel x lamb from G R Hindmarsh & Sons, Linden Hill Head.
Top ppk was a pair of Beltex x lambs at 369ppk from Reay & Walton, St Oswalds.
