Cast Cows

An increased entry of cows this week met a firm trade once again, the seasonal rise in numbers has had no ill effect on trade, with feeding types still easily cashed. A shortage again of those better fleshed Continental bred cows this week.

Topping the sale at 309.5p/kg was a well fleshed Limousin cross cow from A Hall & Sons, Barker House. The better end of feeding cows are still cashing in excess of 270p/kg regularly.

Big, well bred Angus cross cows from T I Scott, Catcherside sold to the leading grossing value of £2439.62 on the day.

We do ask if cattle can be entered the day before the sale so prospective purchasers can be informed.
