A reduced number of Clean Cattle forward sold to a stronger trade on the week.
Leading the sale was a well fleshed Charolais x heifer from W Y & R W Ryle, South Acton at 395.5ppk.
The same good home produced the leading gross for a Limousin x heifer at £2282.45.
A mixed show of mainly Dairy bred Young Bulls sold to a level trade throughout.

An increased entry of Cast Cattle forward this week were met with an improved trade throughout, following the national trend. Flesh at a premium!
The sale topped at 355.5ppk for a Limousin x, with the same old cow returning a sale top of £2858.22 from R English & Son, Brown Leazes.
Whilst Cast Bulls peaked at £3148.33 for a powerful Charolais from J W Robson & Son, East Shaftoe.

Hexham & Northern Marts sold 1706 Prime Lambs to an easier trade however better than expected, with 1104 more sheep on the year and still up £16.68 or 37ppk on the year.
Topping the sale at £236 was a thumping Suffolk x lamb from M W & C M Ridley, Shitlington Hall.
Top ppk was 466.7ppk from E Lishman, Fell Lane.
