More cast cattle descended on Hexham this week, however a poor offering of quality with lean sort a plenty.
Trade didn’t disappoint and maintained last weeks seasonal lift with fresh purchasing accounts in action.
Leading the sale was a non-assured Blonde x cow from Messrs P & E B Robson, Middle Horsleyhope selling to 243.5ppk.
Top grossing cow came from Mrs I Burn T/A J A & I Burn, Grange House Farm, who sold a Limousin x to £1835.40.
Cast Bulls sold to £1780.17 for a Limousin from M E Harrison, The Tofts.

Hexham & Northern Marts sold 1362 Prime Lambs to another nice trade for a wet and grassy show forward.
Topping the trade was a pair of Suffolk x lambs at £153.50 from Messrs G & J H Tomlinson & Son, Sunniside.
Top ppk was for Texels from Matfen Home Farms at 313.6ppk.
