Cast Cows & OTM
A much poorer selection of cast cows and bulls this week, with flesh being very scarce. Trade, however, much sharper for previous weeks for all classes.
Leading the sale was a tank of a cow from Messrs J Hunter & Sons, The Steel. This black Limousin x cow went on to realise 217.5ppk and £2044.50.
An outstanding Holstein Friesian cow from S J Kellett & Sons, Whitehouse farm went on to sell for 189.5ppk and £1117.01.

Topping the sale at £155 was Suffolk x lambs from Messes G & E A Herdman, Lunns House.
Topping the ppk was Matfen Home Farms at 333.8ppk, with their run of 103 averaging 303.1ppk.
