On Thursday 8th October, Hexham & Northern Marts held its second seasonal multi breed tup sale to a terrific clearance rate with buyers eager to purchase with breeding season around the corner.
Sale peak of £1600 was achieved on two separate occasions for Texels from G R Hindmarsh & Sons, Linden Hill Head, and again from Holystone Estate.
Away from Texels, a restricted show of Bluefaced Leicesters were good to sell with this section topping at £900 from Quickeningcote Partners, Quickeningcote.
A very small show of Blue Texels were very well received with this section selling to a height of £850 from G D Herdman, Edlingham Demesne.
