A small offering of hill sheep met a flyer of a trade, peaking at £250 for Blackface Gimmers from A Murray & Sons, Stell Green, whilst aged ewes of the same breed recorded a top of £170 for a pen of 13 from Walton, Troughend.

Topping the sale at £310 was a Texel gimmer from M Telfer, Demesne.

Mule Ewe Lambs sold to a ripper with trade following the seasons highs with all vendors well ahead of last years averages.

Messrs J Carr & Co, Camphill brought their usual stamp of quality and sold to £195.
