St Johns Chapel D District Show & Sale of Swaledale Rams
St Johns Chapel Auction Mart
13.10.2026
St John’s Chapel Auction Mart held the Annual Sale of Swaledale Rams on behalf of the D District and presented a fantastic entry of 306 Swaledale Rams the biggest entry for many years. An outstanding show of tups was met with yet again another packed ringside of purchasers and spectators keen to add power, good mouths and quality to their flocks to create a superb trade and atmosphere like no other sale.
Hexham & Northern Marts would like to thank all who helped the sale continue to be such a success especially all on the board on the D District and the wider Swaledale association on a whole for their time, expertise and willingness to continue to promote the Swaledale breed.
The sale averaged £1265.38 up £153.79 on the year for 21 more tups sold and a %97 clearance topping at £11,000. It is exciting to see the Swale sheep in such demand and wanted once more.
