Cast Cows & OTM
Another terrific entry of 90 Cast Cows and Bulls forward this week. This week’s offering lacked the flesh compared to last week’s show. Trade would be slightly easier this week, especially for hard, feeding sorts. The best end of fleshed, export type cows still maintain the terrific trade that’s been seen these last few weeks.
Leading the sale with an outstanding and well-fleshed young Limousin Cross cow was G W Moore & Sons, Tarset Hall which realised 391.5p/kg.
Frank and Reg Simpson, Square House brought a fantastic run of shapey and well finished Limousin & Blue cross cows that sold to 357.5p/kg and grossed to a high of £3021.75.
Angus cross cows once again very easily sold and sold to a high of 319.5p/kg for a great sort from Holystone Estates, Farnham.
We urge all those that are considering to sell cattle to enter them at the latest the night before the sale so potential purchasers can be made aware of numbers.
