A smaller show of Clean Cattle forward saw trade stand very similar on the week, with a peak of 395.5ppk for a Charolais x heifer, with the highest grossing achieved by the same breed at £2453.85.

A reduced number of Cast Cows and Bulls were seen, with flesh in a very short supply.

Trade saw greater demand however, with numbers rewired to fill growing buyers demand here at Hexham and Northern Marts.

Leading sale price for cows was 337.5ppk for an Angus x from M W Walton & Son, Rawfoot Farm, whilst topping the pounds and pennies was a Charolais bred cow from J & E Campbell, Rosebrough which made £2535.00.

Top Price wad £185 for a Suffolk x lamb from E & T N Ballantyne, Cowburn Rigg.

Top ppk was a trio at 343.2ppk from V S Allgood, Nunwick.
