A show of bulls that can only be described as, varied but like the cows, got away nicely. These sold to a high of 315.5p/kg and £2077.40 for Simmentals from C Parker & Sons, Newsham Grange, Darlington.

More Cows forward this week but a slightly plainer show on offer, this had little effect on trade with cattle still meeting a firm trade and in line with previous weeks. Leading beast this week was a Limousin cross from WR Sparke & Son, Little Swinburne which carried flesh and sold to 327.5p/kg.
Natives still selling with ease and to a high of 309.5p/kg for a thick Angus cross from G & J H Tomlinson & Son, Sunniside.
Highest grossing cow this week was a Simmental cross from W Walton & Sons, Troughend which achieved £2371.60.
