A mixed show of clean, with the better end going up a notch and selling to 309.5ppk for a Limousin x heifer from Messrs H Clark & Sons, Paxton Dene.
The same home sold heavy Limousin heifers to £1940.40.

Cast Cows & OTM
A colossal entry of cows this week with entries from over the border in Roxburghshire and from deepest Cumbria, all selling extremely well and to competitive rates leaving all vendors satisfied with their days trading.
Trade maintains previous weeks rates and unlike other centres, was not affected by larger numbers forward.
The quality on show was predominantly made up of feeding sorts with a large proportion of the sale compromising of non-assured and first crossed cows. This had no detriment to the trade leaving a sale average of 173ppk for ninety-two forward.
The sale was led by a Lim x cow from Messrs Charlton, Whiteside selling to 235.5ppk
Lewis Ralston, Edgerston Home Farm had an enjoyable trip over the Carter Bar from Jedburgh selling Saler cows to 219.5ppk and averaging 212ppk.
A large entry of stock bulls this week, most straight out of their fields of work and sold to a high of 183.5ppk for a Limousin from Messrs T Hutchinson & Son, Lee Hall.
Dairy Shorthorn x cows from Messrs G Baynes & Son, Marley Cote Walls cashed away to 161.5ppk.

Hexham and Northern Marts sold a reduced entry of 1071 prime lambs due to many farmers under the 6-day standstill restrictions.
Topping the sale at £142 was big Texels from Mr W D Howard, Springwood Farm.
5 pens sold for £140, two from Nilston Rigg, two from Messrs G H Walton & Sons, Greyside and a pen from Springwood Farm.
Topping ppk was a trio at 320ppk from popular weekly vendor Brian Charlton, Messrs R E Charlton & Son, East Newham.
